A donkey trek is always something very special.
For young and old alike, there are many opportunities to fall in love with donkeys as special companions. You don't have to travel all the way to Greece – you'll find plenty of options for donkey treks closer to home, right here in Bavaria in Erlbach. You can choose between a trek starting from a farm or one in the mountains.
Donkey hike from the farm
The hike lasts about 1 hour, followed by a relaxed get-together. The two donkeys can also be taken along on a llama trek.

Mountain hike
For mountain enthusiasts: Meeting point: at the foot of the mountain, e.g., Hochfelln. We'll meet at the foot of the mountain and hike uphill for about 1.5 hours, stop at the alpine hut (at your own expense), and enjoy ourselves. The llamas will be waiting for us outside. Then we'll decide whether to continue climbing or take a leisurely descent. Llamas can also be taken along.

Unterholzen Castle
For hiking enthusiasts: Meeting point: Winhöring Castle parking lot. The trail leads us past Frauenbühl Castle to Holzen and, with some ups and downs, past the Pistor farmstead to the secluded Unterholzner Castle. The steep descent leads to the hamlet of Burg. We can have a picnic along the way (please bring your own food).

Schellenberg-Runde
For nature lovers: Meeting point: Kirchberg near Simbach, church. We will hike together around the Schellenberg with a stop at the Schellenberghaus (self-pay basis).
